Taurus Leathers

Has anyone heard of Taurus Leathers? I am looking at purchasing some used leathers for track day (hopefully I can get to one within the next couple months). He is asking $100 bucks for them, they are in good shape, never been on the pavement. I just have not heard of Taurus and needed some guidance. Any comments would be helpful. Thanks

Looks like they only make TEXTILES form the above post. Make sure you are buying LEATHER leathers..................You can't buy a decent set of leather gloves for a 100.00 so I'd be VERY suspicious. What is your body worth? But that's just me.

I totally agree. What he is selling appears to be true leathers and, like you said, it appears they are only making textiles now. I do know the leathers are kinda old but just showing normal wear. No rips or pavement marks on them. And I am suspicious too thats why I needed to ask some of you guys to see if anyone has heard of them. Thanks. I'm gonna ask him some more questions about the suit...

Don't buy it cause it does not have the protection in the areas needed. Spend a little more for known suit with armors and pads for track. If it's only for cruising on highways then it is fine but I still preferred armor and pads.

thanks I look there too. Are AGV leathers any count? I found a one piece for around $120. Minor scuffs on the back, no rip or tears. Looks like someone rubbed a little gravel on the backside.

AGV is pretty good stuff usually.......................I'd recommend asking the age of the suit you intend to buy used. A suit that is two year sold with a few track days is a good deal, a two year old suit worn by an avid racer or instructor has had GALLONS of sweat through them and that is very hard on a suit if not proprly cared for. I will almost dry rot the seams. ..........

DRY AND MAINTAIN YOUR LEATHERS LIKE YOU WOULD YOUR SKIN!!! A good conditioner goes a long way in preservation of gear that will someday save your skin.
