Who's gotten pulled over with expired registration but current inspection license and insurance? What's the penalty?

couldn't tell ya....but, I realized once I got to the office this morning that my registration expired in June. I'm good on insurance and inspection....should probably go online and pay my shellnut fees.

In my experience, if you get the inspection or registration taken care of in 10 days from issuance of ticket, most jurisdictions let it go or just charge the court fees and no fine. it's not a moving violation....I don't think.

Awesome, thanks guys. My truck is acting crazy and just in case I've got to ride to work I wanted to make sure.

It depends on the cop.

He CAN have it impounded.

It is always a semi fix it ticket. The judge will either dismiss it if you get it taken care or if it has been expired for a while they will only reduce the fine but not eliminate it. Strangely enough, I've been pulled over 4 times on my motard but they have never said anything about my inspection or registration. It has been expired since 2011.

Definitely not, my tags are always expired on one of my bikes or vehicles. I get a ticket for it every year and it's not a big deal.

But you asked what is the penalty? Solracer is correct, it can be towed, impounded and you're hoofing away on two feet. Doesn't happen often but that is the law and it can happen. Your risk.
