Astros rally, avoid sweep in 5-3 win over Angels

The Astros rallied from a three-run deficit in the ninth inning to defeat the Los Angeles Angels 5-3 on Sunday in Anaheim, avoiding a sweep and maintaining their lead in the American League West division in the process.

Trailing 3-0 in the top of the ninth inning, Preston Tucker hit a solo home run to make it 3-1. Astros outfielder George Springer hit a triple and scored on a Jose Altuve single to make it 3-0.

Jed Lowrie hit a go-ahead three-run home run to score Altuve and Astros shortstop Carlos Correa.

The Astros travel to Arlington on Monday for a four-game set with the Texas Rangers.

We'll have more here about the Astros game shortly.
