Astros lose to Angels 3-2; AL West lead at 1.5 games over Rangers

The Astros lost to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 3-2 Friday.

The Angels took a 3-0 lead over Houston in the bottom of the second inning because of an error by Astros pitcher Dallas Keuchel (17-7).

Astros outfielder Carlos Gomez cut the Angels lead to one after a two-run home run in the sixth inning, scoring shortstop Carlos Correa.

After the loss, Houston has a 1.5-game lead in the American League West over the Texas Rangers. The Angels trail by 4.0 games.
