Carb Part ID

Trying to get my sons TTR50 running so I pulled the card apart and I'm not sure where this piece goes back, I only see one opening that it seems to fit (pictured in second photo, upside down?) into but there's nothing holding it.

One end is slotted like a flathead screwdriver and one has a needle size hole as seen in second photo. I'll need to pull it back apart.

Hmm. looks like a starter jet.. might be damaged hard to say. I'm not familiar with these carbs. can you take a picture of the underside without the float on?
