"Red Dead" Laws

Has anyone heard about this law and information about Texas passing it? For those that don't know this law allows motorcyclists to run red lights if thr light doesn't sense them. I personally have been stuck at a fee red lights so having a law to says we can go on lights like this would help ease the stress of looking for cops now just have to look for cars.

This ia what a constable friend told me a few years back. I have ran a few, and one time a cop was behind me and honked after the second time it skipped me.

This is the best I could find. Texas is not included, but I do it. I wait a cycle or 2, make sure I'm clear and go.

How does that work from the number one lane or a turn lane?

I had that problem and then went to radio shack and bought a pack of small rare earth magnets. Very small, very strong. Put a few on the bottom of the bike and seemed to help immensely.

I took apart an old hard drive. Took the two neodymium magnets out of it and put on the bottom of my exhaust between the tubes. I just run up and stop on the cuts they make in the concrete. Works great.

You wait until there's no traffic?

This move does require mirrors though.

Guess I don't get it.

Are you saying that if you're in the turn lane with two lanes to your right that you'll wait until there's no traffic and then turn right on red (across two lanes) and then go up the street and flip a ?

Weird. I'd just run the light.

Magnet on the frame. for sportbikes with AL frames use two on the bottom fairing, one inside and one outside to hold them together.

Yeah, if it was clear enought to do something like cut across two lanes to turn right on red, go up the street and bust a U I'd just go ahead and just turn left.
