Changes with Harley soon.

1: 90 % of production at Capitol Drive plant moving to Pilgrim road.
a: Sportster content- these are Sportster motors that are being made
b: At present only Capitol Drive allows visits, Pilgrim does not (except at certain times during the year

2: Only 'old parts' and Product Development will remain at Capitol drive

3: The new BT's will have 6 speed tranys and helical cut vs straight cut gears (quieter running).

4: 40% of work force will retire within 4 years. This is reason for a lot of automation that is going on in the plants.

my source is a contractor involved in the moving.

Zapata... do you own a StreetRod? If so, you need to check out another excellent forum at http://www.v-rodforums.com. There are well over 5000 members now and a heckuva lot of useful information.

Re: Changes with Harley soon.

I have to take it in for the 10K maintenance (overdue) but it's running like a top. I understand that most don't need an adjustment until 20K miles. This thing's been maintenace-free, thus far - with the exception of routine stuff, off course.
