I have 2 ramps in my area (288 & BW8 (south)) if you want to borrow, or unload the bike and ride it home. what are you picking up BTW?

EDIT : wow I jsut realized that you are needing one near Hwy 6 & I10. (bear creek). Well the offer is still up if you don't have luck elsewhere!

I've got one you can borrow as well, but won't be open till tomorrow.

If you can't wait, this is how you can get it out:

Get 2 friends; 1 guy stands in the truck holding the bars and the front brake, the other 2 are on the ground, lift the bike by the swing arm and pull it out of the truck.
(be careful not to put your fingers between the chain / sprockets.)
Bring it back till the front tire is on the tailgate and then lower the rear wheel to the ground.

The guy in the truck gets out and holds the bike up from the rear. The other 2 guys pick up the bike by the bottom of the forks and lowers it to the ground.

There you go, bike is out of the truck.

Buy your buddies a beer.

I live a block away from toys r us. they have a ' loading ramp that works just perfect. I roll the bike out of the truck onto level concrete and then just ride it away with someone following in the truck I had it in.

It never hurts to scope out the loading docks of stores in your neighborhood, it could come in handy.

yeah, the only problem is i have a 4x4 with a 6" lift and 35" tires so it's hard to find one high enough for me. Good idea though.

Looks like Swift E is the closest since nobody lives around this area. pm sent.

Ouch!
Pull your front wheels on a curb or else you're going to drag the lower on the ramp while you're unloading it. You still may have to pick the bike up off the ramp to get the lower to clear.

does anyone live closer to here since I don't ride in the rain?

all I need to do is drive my truck over your house, unload bike, and rive it home. I don't even need to take the ramp anywhere.

funny thread = "Can I get some help unloading my bike?", "oh, btw, its got 20" lift with 42" tires, hope its not a problem"

seriously, when you loaded it, it went up a normal / average ramp w/o scraping bottom?

yep, no problemo. just backed into a little trench and that helped a bit. it's not really that high though

thats what I do, use a local ditch thats real hard packed and serves as a nice unloading dock, but I'm afraid its under water today i'd bet.
