I think its sad how Eric Buell was all over this stuff and they canned his . Now that its been a few years Harley is deciding to get back into it without Buell's help. Guess Buell is just the step child of Harley.

Yeah. I'm disappointed too. I'd love to see HD become a real contender. They've become complacent to making "pretty bikes" and their edge from the performance world has pretty much disappeared. Even if you look at their screamin eagle parts, they are light years behind S&S, Thundermax, & a lot of other performance add on shops.

Perhaps EBR is not dead yet.....

The new owner of the Erik Buell Racing motorcycle company, in East Troy, says he wants to rehire former employees and rekindle the business that was shut down in April and sold this week in a court-ordered auction.

Bruce Belfer of West Allenhurst, N.J., bought the manufacturing assets of Buell for $2.25 million, while Hero MotoCorp. of India paid $2.8 million for Buell's consulting business.

In an interview Friday, Belfer said he's partnering with company founder Erik Buell to get the company back on its feet as soon as possible.

Belfer said he's planning to keep a company presence in East Troy where Buell employed 130 people manufacturing high-end sport bikes.
