MSRH membership

While I'm looking at HHR I thought I should look at MSRH as well, I know the track fairly well but what does it take to join? Is it worth it?

Seems to be that they need a serious infusion of capital to get some new surface work done so what is the holdup?

Supposedly msrh got a big investor to make the track a legitamate destination spot. Talking about hotels and stuff.

I personally don't believe a word of it.

At this point the membership cost went up the roof and it's just not affordable anymore.
I'm looking to see if a member would take me under their "wing" to see if I can get in this way... But I also heard if you became a Harris Hill member you are automatically a member of other tracks including MRSH and the cost for a day at MSRH would be only $30 "depending on what kind of membership you have" but I have not had the chance to investigate further into it... Good luck and please let us know what you find out

It would make sense that MSRH had a lower price motorcycle only membership option. The bulk of the wear and tear of the track comes from the cars.

So does anyone know what the rates are at MSRH? Is there a different level ($$) for a car member vs a cycle member?

Same rate for cars or motorcycles. You are looking at over 7k for the first year for the initial fee and then monthly dues.

When I joined it was $5k initiation, $250/mo and $30 use fee.

Worst decision I ever made. It's unnecessary with 15+ motorcycle track days there a year as low as $100.

The membership can not be sold or transferred so there is no way to recoup any of the initiation fee if you move on to another hobby. Keep that in mind.

LOL

And another thing worth mentioning... Many weekends the track is rented and not open to members. They only real way for it to make financial sense is if you can ride regularly during the week.

Holy that's expensive! I also just saw where COTA is $500+ for a single track day too! I'll stick with motocross.

Memberships and Cota are not the only ways to ride on the track. Sure mx is much cheaper but track days aren't all ridiculous like that.

so are we thinking that Harris Hill is a much better value than MSRH even with a 2 hr drive penalty? certainly its much easier to walk away from at $500 + $150/mo vs $5000 + $150/mo

Last time I was there, it was more like a motocross track, just with pavement.

Does that includes the suite/garage? Are you allowed to live there?
