Texans make roster cuts

All NFL teams must reduce their rosters to 75 players by Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. The Houston Texans began paring down their roster with the release of safety Stevie Brown on Saturday and reportedly have made 10 other roster moves Monday to move closer to 75 players remaining on the roster.

The reported cuts include wide receivers Alan Bonner, Jace Davis and Travis Labhart, and offensive linemen Aaron Adams, Cody White and Bryan Witzmann.

Also defensive lineman Cameron McLeod and Chris Nield have reportedly been cut, along with outside linebacker Jason Ankrah.

All but Adams, McLeod and Nield were with the Texans at some point last season either on the practice squad, injured reserve or on the active roster.

Houston will also place 2015 sixth round draft pick Reshard Cliett on injured reserve.

Cliett tore his ACL during the first week of training camp.
