New rider

Howdy everyone, I grew up in Houston but now I live in NYC. I come back a few weeks each year. I'm a new rider still in my first year, just turned 29. There's only one other person in my family who has ridden a motorcycle, but he hasn't ridden in maybe 20 years, so I'm learning many things the hard way. I'm looking around for a basic motorcycle maintenance class, but I think I'll have to find one in NYC. I own a 2002 Honda Rebel 250 (my starter bike) and a 1986 Honda Magna 700 in Houston (and both unrideable for the moment), and a 1982 Suzuki GS850 in NYC. I bought Haynes manuals for them all, and The Essential Guide to Motorcycle Maintenance by Mark Zimmerman.
