Honda Grom 181cc BBK

AHHHHH!!!!

I love my grom. Broke down and bought a BBK. Install look me less than 4 hours in my buddies garage. Been setting up my tune the past couple of days monitoring A/F Ratios and engine temps with sensors that I installed.

With all my other mods, I'm estimating roughly 15hp. Grom can now be power wheelied.

I regeared the front and rear to give me better freeway speeds.

That is all. Carry on!

I would recommend the kitaco clutch cover or whatever that converts to a cartridge filter and makes it easy to add an oil cooler.

I got the take kit. I'll take a video once I get my tune dialed in a little better. Also mounting up my new exhaust, gotta drill it out and weld a new O2 bung.

not really worried about a top speed, just don't want to be WOT at 10k rpms just to do 67mph. hah.

I would like to be able to cruise at 65-70 with less stress on the motor. Currently I'm +1/0 so my indicated speed is probably off around 8%

Indicated 55mph at 5.5k rpms seems to be an improvement. I got a few other sprockets too. I'm going to try +1/-2 and see how I like that.

I don't need to be able to power wheelie, as I'm already used to popping the clutch on the little guy, but that new found low end torque is awesome.

I was able to get a hold of a buddies throttle body and manifold (he switched to a carb set up on a 223cc stroker bore) I plan on porting them to see if that adds any extra power. If not, I may break down and order the 34mm setup.

Did you finally get your lady a grom?

Order a full kit. The Takegawa 181cc BBK with 4 valve head makes some serious power. Do it, and we can tackle it in the garage.

I'm currently waiting for my larger fuel injector to arrive, along with oil cooler set up, and high pressure oil pump.
