just noticed this on the bike today

2006 gsxr 1000
There is a 1 inch spacer between the engine case and the clutch cover. When I bought the bike the guy said it had a slipper clutch in it. He mentioned something about washers could be added taken out.

Looks like this

Yup. Cheater! lol. It looks like a stock clutch that way and many wont notice. That doesnt mean the lock up is still in there but that is what its for. To allow the use od a stock cover over a lock up

Not even remotely similar to a lock up

Cool thanks.....
I have a long way to go for 1.2's..... but lets pretend i did. That would be .5 fast off the line so lets say that equaled .8 on the big end. 10.1 - .8 = 9.3-.4. Thats what the original owners claimed it ran.

Side note ... have driven it since i took it to the track a month ago.

Confirmed.... I have a lock up clutch in there.
I guess it's set at the min sitting(normal use) I'll have to look up what I need to set it up for the track. I'm sure i'll need to buy a washer kit.

The guy I bought the bike from almost cried(literally!) when I bought the bike from him. Now I see why. All the stuff he said the bike has on it, actually does
. lol.
