Pearland West staying focused, preparing for game 3

On Tuesday morning, the Pearland Little League West team hit the practice fields for two hours.

They know they have to be razor sharp when they go up against the team from Pennsylvania Wednesday night.

“Just 50/50 practice, we hit 50 percent of the time and we field 50 percent of the time, do our infield drills, do our batting drills and just making sure we do everything right,” said player, Jarrett Tadlock.

The boys field, they hit the batting cages and it's all going to be critical for game number three.

Tomorrow's game is going to be a sell out with more than 35,000 people expected to watch the game in person at Lamade Stadium and up on the hill.

“The house is going to be packed and against us, but we're looking forward to it,” said team manager, Andrew Solomon.

Pearland is only getting 90 tickets for tomorrow and it's likely the majority of the crowd in Williamsport will be pulling for the boys from Pennsylvania.

But Pearland says that is not likely to be a problem as they have one goal in mind.

“We just stay focused as a team, just do what we usually do. Thirteen as 1, one team and one dream. Hit the ball, field the baseball, throw it to first and get them out,” said Tadlock.
