There was a black Charger on the scene that had scrape marks on the passenger side. DPS paint marked the pavement around that car.

Car must have been merging too quick for the rider to negotiate a plan around it at his/her high speed and smacked it real good... sucks.

I know I've had my close calls when I was young and inexperienced... , I had a few close calls when I believed I was good (but was acting a fool)...

Have fun out there, but be safe guys!

Multiple witnesses tell KHOU 11 News that it looked like someone on a motorcycle was speeding between two lanes of traffic when a driver pulled in front of him to change lanes. The biker struck the car and flew about 10 feet. He died at the scene, according to witnesses.

Westpark is two lanes so we are assuming he was riding the line at a high rate of speed?

This is why I will not lane split. Someone can always move over on you, even at low speed. RIP.

It said the car was changing lanes so the guy wasn't splitting when the car hit him unless the car was also planning on running over another car. The flow of traffic is pretty fast on that tollway, my conjecture is he was really moving and had no time to react.

Really..... Even at a stand still or under 5 mph. They can merge into another vehicle?

Riding the middle lanes is "splitting"... and who knows, the Charger could've just swerved a tad bit, enough to make contact with the bike causing him to crash into the 2 vehicles.

Not much you can do at high speeds except hang the on.
