I've experience a similar pain in the back of my knee when i go running. I use a knee strap that i wear under my knee and if i strap it on too tight it causes that ligament to feel strained. I imagine that the stap is reducing flexibilty and that causes a sharp pain. Maybe your pants are doing the same thing.

My wife's knees bothered her alot when she first started riding, and especially at the track days because your on the bike for so much longer. We were riding with Tony? in Oak Hill, he rides a 250. He followed her for a while and notice her legs and feet were a little out of place. What she does on the bike is to hug the bike from your ankle to the hip. Use the bike to keep things straight. Hard to explain here, but comming back from leaning out on the turns, she was still leaning out with her legs abit. So after each turn, just make sure your aligned back up with the bike. Hope this helps.
