There is a work day on the East side Sunday morning so it's probably safer to ride on Saturday.

TRH is having 2 workdays to get ready for the Caney Creek endure coming SEPT 27. Next Sunday is suppose to be their 2nd workday more to get rid of as many face slappers as possible. Think they were going to try and cut out most of the newer fallen trees last weekend. Some of the OLD DUDES went out and worked on face slappers on Zebra last Sunday, but not sure how far they got.

They will be at the east side trailhead at 8am. LYNN BAILY is in charge of the work detail. Just get with him. If the parking area's full, just yell "WHO THE HECK'S LYNN BAILEY!" and tell him Larry sent ya.

This coming Sunday is correct. NO SCHEDULE posted anywhere. I am usually the guy that puts workdays together and start pleading with everyone to help weeks in advance. I will post here on MotoHouston, TRH, ODODB, and TWT when I am going to schedule a workday and then we wait and see who will help.

FYI- as of now, I am waiting to take the SHNF certification class to use a chainsaw in the SHNF, when that is done mid September, I was planning on putting together a workday around the first of October to start working the West Side and try and get those trails back open again. We have over 100 down trees over there and will be needing lots of help. We have 11 ODODB members taking the class and will need all of them to tackle this job, but we cannot work solo, have to have a helper at all times when cutting out there. I will post and hope we'll get people out for this one, need more riding area open asap.

nice, even better now that the trails have been cleaned up I just hope there isn't too much sand like there usually is when they do maintenance. I plan on riding out there Saturday around 8ish, northeast trailhead

Make sure you flatten out all those whoops also. They make my legs tired. If it's not too much trouble can we get some water fountains installed along all the trails?

That's all coming longboarder65 as soon as Obama signs off on all the pay raises and extra funding for the forestry service, shouldn't be too long now.

Now you are being ridiculous. There isn't anywhere to plug the vending machine in on the trails. I do like your bench idea, or maybe some nice Adirondack chairs.

4 of us OLD DUDES rode today and was starting to dry a bit, that is till we were leaving the parking lot and a big shower hit, those trails should be perfect by this weekend.
