I liked my old cbr f3 a lot better around town than my new gixx. Better midrange and much more comfy.

The new gixx 600 is better than some of the other new 600's for playing around town, but is still a bit too focused and lacks midrange for putzing around town.

The f4i would be a good all round bike as well as the older r6 (now r6s)

My 2 cents

Honeslty I dont think I would trade out my F4i for anything except maybe the 07 CBR600RR but the f4i is way more comfie and more power then my Ram Air Trans Am! and no one needs that much power for a comuter bike imo hehe

For daily driver - Honda.

I'll probably end up with an F4i when my F3 finally dies. Either that or a 919

I'm a Suzuki guy but the 2007 Honda 600rr wins hands down. And the r6 would be the worst, no low end.

If it's a daily driver then you should look into something that is comfortable and less $ maintenance and durable/reliable and in case of going down, parts availability. Which boils down to two SS bike, 600RR or gsxr 600. I don't know about comfortable part but you can put a riser in it.

btw, I enjoy your previous avatar.

The new 07 kawi zx6r is supposed to be the ! I havent actually ridden one but i have a buddy that owns one and he loves it plus it won the 600cc shootout. The 07 honda cbr600rr is also a nice bike. Im not really diggin a few things about it but you cant go wrong with either the zx6r or the 600rr and i wouldnt even look at anything else!

Honda's are nice if you don't paying more for a 600 than you would a GSXR750, which is my #1 choice of bikes out right now.....if I had to pick a 600 it would be the GSXR6

Since the question was about street bikes. Anyone think the FZ6 would be a good choice?
Comfy, light and sporty without the racers tuck. 'Course I'm old so maybe you young guys prefer to do hand stands while you ride.

Yeah, Kawi and suzuki are the best though when i comes to bargaining on prices. Honda and Yamaha are higher priced as it is and arent really willing to work with you on it.

Dont get a yamaha though! Never liked them since day 1 and they are way overpriced for the piles of they sell!

It just depends on what you want to spend and what you want out of it. I personally still say pick between the kawi and the honda though.
