Am I lawyer? Why do you ask?

Me too. Just asking for trouble there. I'm fine with the them riding, but not taking up all three lanes. That WAS an orangized ride....some of them were dumb@sses, and the cager probably was tired of waiting. Still, in a jag, he probably felt entitled to pass. They should of had a lane open for the cagers. We share the road guys. Shooting, thats just crazy, at least they were watching out for their own. Props for the guys following the guy to the police station....I'm sure we'll hear the rest of the story soon. Why would they go to the cops if the guy hadn't of done something wrong (like hit one of them for being in a hurry - I mean, we all have had to sit behind an @sshat in traffic before, why is it different just because they were bikes?)

I'd say yes, if some of those vettes were riding on 2 wheels...doing dumb stunts across three lanes.

So if you're in a group and you're breaking the law then you have to ride in formation?

I don't get it. Explain yourselves, guys.

If you are in a group, and acting like an idiot, you are right, they probably don't care about being considerate, but, then you can't complain and shoot someone up and kick their car when something happens because they didn't want to wait and watch you act like an idiot, and you deserve what you get for being an idiot...the group, not you (I understand what you are saying, but that doesn't make it right, thats why someone got hit)

In the video that I saw there were one or two people riding wheelies and the rest were scattered across three lanes (which is not illegal).

Consider this - Idiot in Jag tries to weave through the bikes because he's thinking the same way some of y'all are ... "Look at these a$$holes, I'm gonna get through them anyway". He hits a bike and one of the bikers freaks out and starts shooting at him. Guy calls 911 then exits freeway heading towards the police station - THAT'S when his car gets kicked. Nobody is gonna kick a car while your going down the freeway ... at least not hard enough to dent it like that.

ok, thats plausible....

and you are right it is not illegal. Still, cosideration goes a long way, leaving the fast lane open would not of cost them anything. I say again, we SHARE the road. But in principle, with your scenerio, you are right.

That's not what he said happened. He said they started kicking his car when he tried to pass them. It looks to me like the guy out front was on 1 wheel (going for a record, practicing changing lanes, I don't know) and the rest of the bikes were blocking for him. I suspect the blockers got when the guy in the Jag lost his patience and tried to pass. He probably lost it when they broke his rear view mirrors and started throwing his weight around. The ones that followed him were probably thinking attempted vehicular homicide.

Denhou1974, I asked if you were a lawyer because of the way you approach this argument.

That's not what I heard.

Reporter
"The trouble started Williams says when he tried to pass"

Williams
"As I started to go they started just riding beside my car kicking the car, um, then it kicked the mirror off the car I changed lanes and when they kicked the mirror off the car was when I changed lanes, um, and that's when the little accident occured."

from the article.

Williams said that he accidentally hit one of the bikers while trying to pass and said that is when they attacked "like a swarm of bees."

It really doesn't matter...read above post...all asshat parties got what they had coming. Cagers do the same thing...ever been behind two cagers trying to talk to each other while driving down the road? I bet you have. Ever want to run them off the road? I bet you have. Ever actually done it? I hope not. There are no innocent parties here. moving on...

It may have happened the way you say, but I tend to believe the eye witness instead. While we're speculating here wouldn't it also be plausible that the bikers got and started kicking his car because he had the nerve to try to pass them while they were trying to film their next Youtube movie?
