[SW] Noob Ride - Saturday 8/15/2015 - Southwest

I'd like to host a noob ride this Saturday, 8/15, in the SW area. We'll be riding PSL to max 10+PSL. This ride is for newer riders who may be new to riding or group riding, easy 2up, or other types of bikes not normally on a group ride. All rider levels are welcome as long as everyone is respectful of the rules and group.

This will be an easy, low stress, super fun kind of ride.

SOUTHWEST NOOB RIDE
Meet: La Madeline Sugar Land
Time: 7:30am
KSU: 8am sharp
Pace: Noob friendly
Route: Will be discussed at meetup.
Expect to be done around by noon

PLEASE READ**********

NO GEAR, NO RIDE
Make sure you are wearing ALL appropriate gear:
-Helmet (no snapbacks and fitted's)
-Jacket (not your cool denim jacket, a moto jacket)
-Gloves (not gardening gloves, home depot gloves, or work gloves)
-Boots (no Nike's, converse, or cowboy boots)

If you're missing any of these pieces you will be asked to leave.
This is for your own safety.

ALL GEAR REQUIRED*******

theres a good possibility Ill make it out to this, I stay over by HWY 6 and west airport. I consider myself anything between intermediate to an experienced rider. Been wanting to get out and ride for a while now, even if it is an easy ride. what do you mean by PSL?

Cool man hope to see you there. PSL = posted speed limit.

Keep in mind it's a noob ride so I will have to be accommodating to the newest level rider that shows up.

thats fine. in fact ive got 3 friends that might show up, they've never ridden in a group, never been on a freeway. we were originally planning to go ride on Sunday but I think Saturday will be better for us. ill let ya know

do you plan on doing a lot of open-road, above 35mph riding? or stop-and-go city riding? my bike gets REALLY hot and it hates it, one of the few reasons why I never ride into town during daytime. theres a really nice route I usually take going out towards Simonton

The ride is all backroads and I think you're gonna really like it. There's little to no stop and go riding. I really hope you and your friends can come. I have some friends joining us as well to help with sweeping/leading duties.

Will I get the boot (heh pun) for wearing these? lol Says nike, but was wondering if you meant the running shoes. Might make it out if the wife is feeling good about riding her bike, otherwise maybe we'll ride two up.

I would say it's safe to assume any kind of Nike is not allowed on this ride unless Nike made some new Moto boots lol

Hope to meet you and your wife Saturday!

I'll try make it out on time, but I'm in Rosenberg off 762. I'll be the guy with a DOT approved bandana, flip flops, wife beater and fingerless mittens.

Make sure your mittens are knitted, they cool better.
