Katy starts preparation for high school football season

A new high school football season begins Aug. 27-Aug. 30 and the Houston area is once again loaded with talent.

At Katy High School, the Tigers have a storied history with seven state championships.

Katy reached the 6A title game in 2013 and again in 2014 but both ended with emotional losses to Cedar Hill.

The Tigers have the talent again to make another run, and KPRC Channel 2 Sports Director Randy McIlvoy has more on the Tigers as they opened workouts Monday.
