In basic terms, swingarm angle is the difference in angle from the swingarm pivot to the rear axle. Too shallow of an angle and you'll have traction problems. Properly springing and setting up your rear shock will help too.

Patrick, I now understand what you were talking about in regards to hooking it up. I am mainly trying to figure out why the pivot and the upper mount on the arm do not line up. I think I am gonna pull the arm off this week and make sure I put the thick washers on the swing arm pivot(axle) under the rubber dust seals. I am 99% sure I did but...if I didn't maybe the arm is shifting from side to side and thats why the pivot doesn't line up... Not sure.

Well, after lots of testing, we figured out that the 600 arm has an alignment problem with the pivot. It didn't matter if I stuck the 600 pivot or the busa pivot on there, it would not line up right and the links broke due to the eyes of the links being binded against the spacers I added. Apparently the two links bolt together through the inner spacer, well that spacer has to have slack to float. That allows the links to spin as the arm goes up and down...well since I had them bolted against the spacers, the links couldn't move and SNAP-O. SO that being said, I am getting some new links, having my original busa arm extended and underbraced.. New Pilot power tire(non recalled), new SS brake lines, new cush drive, new undertail etc....

About $1100 worth of stuff but....hey..might as well upgrade right..Hopefully I will have her up and running again in the next 2-3 wks and I can make some group rides with yall.

Thanks for the good wishes guys!

Yeah I have been to Steve's house many times... I am good friends with TJ(he has the black turbo busa like mine). I raced Bobby with the big motor Copper busa down there. He is also one of Steve's buddys, talks a lot of ...

I haven't been to Steves in a while. Mainly because my bike has been in retirement since I have been playing with my cars..now I am trying to get it road worthy again so I can make some group rides with guys from this forum.

, I would have had to seen you there sometime then.... I am also friends with Tony Thompson, he used to live a few streets over from Steve, he had a black/silver Jiggy 1k....it got wrecked and he quit riding..

Were you riding the 600RR over there? is it a black one? Just curious. It has been a long time but back about a year or two ago, I went with TJ and them over to Steve's several weekends in a row. Hes always got some kind of going on over there though.:icon_bigg
