Rossi was definetly in his groove today doing what he does best.
Great to see Nicky back on the box as well.
Great showing by all the US riders.

Kinda interesting too that Stoner's Ducati didn't make it back to parc ferme and Hayden ran out of fuel on the cool down lap, but got a push back from Hopper.

I don't remember Stoner saying he ran out of fuel though. I'll have to go back and watch the interviews.

Goes to show how carefully they are planning the mapping vs. fuel on these bikes. They did mention that Hayden has more control and less computer management of his engine. Great to see Valentino win! I'm not a Hayden fan but Honda/Hayden make a great showing!

Yep.. I think most people have forgotten that fuel mileage was a HUGE concern during the early testing of the 800cc bikes because the fuel tank capacity was reduced along with the displacement of the engine. I think Yamaha was the most worried, but so far everybody seems to be ok.

It makes me think that the reason Honda was down on top speed was because fuel delivery was being restricted so they can last race distance.

The Repsol bikes definitely seemed faster in the speed traps and combined with the new chassis that has Nicky and Danni going great!

Marco, Shinya and the rest of the Honda boys are still hating life. I wonder when/if they will get the new chassis.

I wonder if Casey had to change his mapping in the last laps, he didn't seem to pull or close the gap with Rossi in the last few laps. I didn't see Casey's interview either so not sure what he said.

CBS aired the race yesterday... Speed doesn't have the rights to it.

CBS will also air next weeks race at Sachsenring! My favorite track. :icon_bigg

Where are all the Nicky haters today? Good to see him back to form, think the traction control had him in a strangle hold? Really happy to see him pull the gap on Pedrosa. And what can you say about the Doctor pulling almost two seconds on the last three laps. Really makes me think he's just toying with the rest of the felid to keep it interesting. Think he'll make a late season go at the championship again. He must own half of Dorna........

Rossi was amazing yesterday... the first 3 or 4 laps had me a bit concerned as he didn't seem to make up much ground and with Stoner pulling away. But then he just took off. I can't believe how the announcers were saying that he was running 6 tenths faster than anyone on the track! That's just nuts..

Anyone watch the post-race interviews? That was classic!

Nicky totally on Kevin Schwantz for wearing the CBS-issue navy blazer. "Nice Jacket Kevin!" :laughing6 :laughing6 :laughing6
