Totally agree with Scooter...powder coated bright white is the way to go in my opinion, and a lot easier to maintain

They will polish. Just might be a lot of work. And you have to repolish every once in a while when they get dirty.

I say go with the white powdercoat... And I have seen scooters powdercoating... It look VERY NICE... Plus there is this guy couple houses down from scooter that will take your tires off and put it back together for you after scooter gets done with it.

But as someone previously stated, make sure that you get them chromed by a reputable chromer. I've seen a good number of wheels that start peeling off and . Don't forget that you're going to have more work to do to keep them clean and shiny too.

those look beautiful indeed

the lip of most rims is the smoothest part, most center sections and castings are always a heavier texture, well most always. its easy to spin the rims and smooth the lips, not so easy to do the spokes and various shapes, so mostly are textured cast products to a degree.
end result, polishing would look spiffy, but will be craploads work to get the surface you desire.

I know, but he should take what he hears, digest it, and then make his mind up in the end on what really makes him happy, thats all I'm saying. real world, he should do what tickles him and not care what the masses think. Its nice to see someone on their own path every once in a while.
thats all I'm saying

I mean, I have opinions like everybody, I likes the powder, but its hard to argue the beauty of DOA's chromed rims too.
its all in what really makes the guy happy, he is in control

The reason I posted that was because we see it all too often on here... people want opinions on what 'is cool' and what 'looks good.' It's because our society has become so focused on material good that all anyone wants to do is get things that other people like and want.

That's not a questoin we should answer for him, he should answer it himself.
