As a fellow old guy and lover of old bikes, I'd like to see some pics of the CB350 you have listed in your sig.
Love them bikes, always wanted one...

My Father bought this lil CB350 brand new. He rode it off and on till '85 or '86. The last registration sticker was dated 1986. It was dark metallic green when new. He didn't like it so he painted it black. At some point the gas tank started rusting on the inside so he had it boiled out and an epoxy coating applied. In doing so it stripped all the paint off the exterior. The bike has been sitting in his barn since the last registration expired. I dug the bike out (with his permission of course) and have been restoring it since. Did I mention it only has 5,000 miles on it?

That's pretty cool! And only 5,000 miles, excellent! A true barn find

Not yet. Still doing the global search for parts. So far I have received the front brake caliper from England. The master cylinder rebuild kit from California. And the front brake lines from Japan. The carb kits also came from England. And I can't remember where the new coils came from. I'm in the process of rebuilding the carbs and installing the coils. Once that is done I will get a battery and see if it'll start. Hopefully I don't have to track down points and condensers.

Thank you for all the welcomes.

Its funny, When I pulled the carbs apart there was lead settled in the bottom of the float bowls. I didn't even think about the bike being so old that it ran on leaded gasoline. Aahh the memories. The yunguns wont know what I'm talking about. LOL
So I'm told that I will need a gas treatment every time I fill up otherwise today's gas will eat the carbs. Any comments regarding this?

You gotta do something. The alcohol in the gas attracts moisture which will corrode aluminum, rust steel and degrade the rubber components of the carbs, etc.
I'm lucky, there's a station in the town near my deer lease that sells no alcohol gas. I take a couple gas cans with me when I go and that's my primary gas for the bike. The Ducati loves that cuz gas makes more power than alcohol, less alcohol=more gas=more powah!

yeah!! Was in Louisiana. Last week. All of there gas stations offer fuel with NO ethenol. My bike loved it. Got like 20 more mpg per tank on reguler. Not even premium. Which i normally run in my buell.
