Report: Houston Texans RB Arian Foster injures groin, may need surgery

Houston Texans running back suffered a groin injury in Monday night's practice and may need surgery, according to an ESPN report.

ESPN said Foster suffered the injury during the team's first full practice in pads. Foster could miss the start of the season, according to the report.

Alfred Blue is Foster's primary backup. The team also has Jonathan Grimes on the roster.

Foster missed three games in 2014 due to injury, and played in only eight games in 2013. He still finished with 1,246 yards rushing and eight touchdowns last season.

We'll have more on this story this afternoon on KPRC 2 News.
