I would ride that all over the place! We could race in water! Bikes would be sinking all over the place! Time to invent an inflatable bag that raises that outta water!

I agree, a probably quick inexpensive modification and a whole new playground is opened up!!

As long as you can afford to buy a new bike every couple of months, or sooner if you fall, remember he's riding an aluminum bike in salt water.

And don't mind riding in pretty much a straight line, notice how he only makes slight turns?
That's cuz if he turns, even a little, too much the front washes out and down he goes.

Other than that everybody will be doing it soon!!!

Sorry Nesto, couldn't help myself. Sarcasm is in my nature.

The guys doing that kind of wave riding will have more money than they can spend anyways ,also if it becomes a competitive sport I'm sure there will be company's sponsoring so having replacement bikes won't be a issue

i'm curious what happened at the end of the video. it doesn't show him actually riding out of the wave. was the engine still running after being swamped by the wave?

That was badass!!! A sports bike will be a huge challenge especially since they are not as balance out as a dirt bike and their suspension are stiffer. I bet he really had to tweak the out of those front forks for it not to go submarine on his .

The funniest part is reading the comments of the community on that link. I guess surfers don't appreciate the achievement as much.

Wait till the tree huggers start chiming in... there's at least 1 tree hugger in every surfer/hippie group.

I think surfers are just mad that they have to paddle out to catch a wave instead of riding

I saw it yesterday on break. Absolutely amazing, but I doubt "everyone" is going to to be doing it lol. It made for a badass video and it was a very cool to push the limits of whats possible on a bike. But overall its still stupid. Look how low the fins have to be to the ground. That means no clearance for obstacles and no wheelies because the back fin extends to far past the back wheel. None the least it's a badass accomplishment and I bet that was super difficult to ride.
