KTM Adventure Rally

Plannning on riding up to Crested Butte, Co for the KTM Adventure Rally on Sept 19-20. Don't have to be on a KTM to participate in rally or workshops.
Looking for other riders to join me. 2 days to get there, 2 days there and maybe 3-4 days to get back possibly through New Mex, Arizona.

That would be great. No planned offroad on way up or back. I will want to do more street oriented rides during the rally also. Check out the rally flier.

I'm interested in this as well. Not sure that I can swing it from a work perspective, but I can look into it. I'd be more interested in trailering the BMW and KTM up there to ride.

Hey guys just talked with Grindio over the phone about this ride. Im about 99% in!!

We would like to see if 2 other riders want to go, we are going to limit this to 4 riders to and from Houston because anything bigger than that has its issues with logistics on this 1000 mile one way haul. If you want to trailer out there like Curt was talking about we can plan a meet out there to ride together.

Either way lets get a count of ppl interested in this trip and have a meet about it next week sometime. So far Grindio and I will be riding all the way there and back. Leaving Sept 17 (thursday and coming back thursday) Sept 24.

Riding there
1.Grindio
2. BYRDMAN
3.
4.

Trailering
1.

***Meeting planned 13 Sept at 730pm at a TBD location.***
Meeting location will be determined on where everyone lives....

The rally has hotels blocked out a special rates. On the road stay at small inexpensive hotels along the way.
Looking at coming back via Coronado Trail US 191 in Arizona and maybe Big Bend

If coming back vai 191 in Az this is your best bet for heading back east. Once in Roswell, Nm you can head south towards Big Bend or whatever. Not much good riding east or south of Roswell. http://binged.it/1MSPTak Just started the map in Blanding, Ut not sure how far north you were picking up 191

You have the stock seat on your S3 or something aftermarket? I had a Sargent on mine and I have done a few 700 mile days. Luckily on the S3 you have to get off for fuel about every 130 miles so you can stretch and get rid of a bit of monkeybutt

Stock seat, not in the market for a $500 seat at the moment tho. Prob just wear some padded bicycle shorts instead
