Texans training camp will have extra attention

Texans training camp begins Saturday morning and the attention of HBO’s cameras will give the franchise attention it has  never seen before.

"They’re going to get a small look into our personal lives, but you’ve got to have fun with it," Texans left tackle Duane Brown said. "We have to keep the main goal in mind and that is perform. That’s what I’m always keeping in the back of my head whenever I see a camera.”

Saturday will also mark the start of year two of the Bill O’Brien Era. His players said  things are a lot smoother the second time around.

"Going forward, he’s just continuing right along with it," Texans defensive end J.J. Watt said. "He’s done a really good job of making everyone understand ‘Everyone on the team has a role. You need to know your role and perform it well.’ You need to go out there and do whatever you can to help the team win.”

But training camp is all about getting in shape and of course -- practice.

"I’m going to do whatever it takes to help the team win," Watt said. "Like I’ve said all along, my goal in the offseason is to create the best athlete I can possibly create and hand it to the coaching staff and say ‘However you want to use it, use it.’”
