I was planning to show up but was not going to gamble with pre registration after reading comments from others.

the dude drilled through asphalt to plant trees in the ""paddock."" That should tell you all you need to know about how the track is operated. I miss it too, it was an AWESOME tard/300/250 track.

My favorite moment was when, during our trackday, the owner showed up intending to erect a permanent ez up style tent, in the ****middle**** of hot pit. A 10 foot upright pole he improperly fastened fell between 2 bikes gridded up in hot pit. The other poles were promptly torn down when the owner wasn't looking. Can you imagine if another "real" track decided to put immovable steel objecteffectively ON the racetrack? Ludicrous.

Or the time we set up for a track day, cones on apexes and turn in points. 15 minutes before we went live he got in his car and drove around and collected all cones. Said we didn't rent them for $1 each per day. Nevermind the $3600 rental for the facility.

Or the time his improperly maintained fence allowed a 800 pound bull to run between riders in turn 2 mid session. When Rangel chased it back on to the ranch next door he was banned from GSS temporarily cause the owner was angry he trespassed on the neighbors land. A bull!

Theres more of this BS left and right. A good list for why he should never be trusted with anything related to motorcycle trackday operation or safety.

So, who is gonna step up and make a trackday happen there?

I miss this track, where a 250 can come close to running with the big bikes.
