Actually it is not at all the answer. Why dont you guys go look up Ivans TRE and get the answers.

The TRE was originally invented when the Suzuki Hayabusa was restricted in 2000 and all the Busa owners were feeling gipped and wanted a way to bypass the system.
The Timing Eliminator is a piggy back to the ECU. It cheats the system into believing it is constantly in 5th gear. On the Hayabusa specifically this in turn overrides the ECU's govering of 1st gear and 6th gear allowing the use of full power. In 1st gear the power is slightly held back due to launching / wheelieing. In 6th gear it is governed to not go faster than 186 mph, as agreed by the Japanese manufacturers.

On a 600 the TRE is pointless. There is no of timing in 1st gear. There is no ceiling in your ECU either due to the fact that your bike will pull to about 165 tops in stock form.

Sell it and get a sneaky pete system! LOL!@

On the ZX-14 I have a TRE installed along with my PCIII and custom map. If your bike has different maps for different gears, and you are overriding that with a custom PCIII map (which is only a single map, and doesn't have different settings for different gears) wouldn't it make sense to 'lock' the bike into a single gear (single map applied) so that your custom map is applied the way you expect instead of differently for each gear? That's my understanding of why to install it on my bike. On the 600 you might not need it if it doesn't have a timing on different gears and a top speed limiter.

Post Increase the volume of your loads up to 5 times!

Xtracum pills contain the natural extracts of herbs that have been used in Asian and Latin American alternative medicine for centuries. These herbs are known to stimulate libido and overall virility much more intensively than even the most powerful synthetic formulas.

Supposedly, the TRE has a drastic effect in the lower gears (1st-3rd) at lower RPM's. Basically, you get ALOT more midrange.

I think it was CYCLE WORLD that did a dyno test on the TRE when they compared the (then) new ZX14 vs. the 'ol Busa.

Based on the dyno chart, I would definately recommend!

lol. funny how some people cant/wont read, even when you point it out...

anyways. metz, i was suggesting saying its a 97 to "sleep it" with your mods you could go up against say a 03 750 and if you beat him you can say you whupped him on a bike 6 years older with less cc...would just embarass them more...just a joke though.

ok, I'm not sure if you are arguing or calling me a rookie, just to start , but let me go ahead and own you real quick:

I SOLD HIM THE POWER COMMANDER
I INSTALLED IT ON HIS BIKE

PC3-R HANDLES TIMING
if you would have read his verry first post it says he has a USB. Fyi there are add-ons that will tune timing on the usb models. Thanks for your usless input on this thread. And if you would like to give that "bad14" a try on the 1320' let me know.

lots of em

WTF is up with all the spam?
dunno about TRE, but since this thread is full of useless posts, just thought I'd contribute.
anywho, I use a Thunderheart ignition on mine, fully programmable with laptop, nx window, launch rev limiter, and best function is that I can create 3 dimensional air/fuel/timing maps and reeeeeeeeeeeeetard my timing when I'm on a full boost pull.
dunno ifn' they make for the metric bikes though
