Oh okay. He had just dropped it when I came around. Was standing in the middle of the track with his hands on his hips.

I just barely missed the ktm. I'm guessing I was on the back straight when it happened. I'm wondering if he was the same that kept going off track

Since we are kind of done talking about TWS (Texas World Speedway), how do you like the R3? How does it compare to your ninja 300?

Really fun! It's so light. Really easy to flick into the turns. I was dragging the muffler through turn 10. Kept kicking the back tire loose. Need better suspension.

The ninja does seem to have a little better drive out of the turns though. Think the power commander will fix that on the R3.

Nice. I had a ton of fun on the ninja 250 I borrowed for a while. I'm thinking of buying one of the 300 out there. Im a big fan of yamahas so the R3 is at the top of the list, other than I'd buy used and that'll be hard to come by for a few years, but thought I'd see how well they did with it off the batt.

Mufflers are for wusses anyways.

They all need better suspension

If you go again, let me know when and I will let you run a session with her. She is getting a race body on her next week. That will be the only big change so far except for the rear sets and I put the handle bars under the triple tree.

Nice. That would be a ton of fun. I'm doing cota on sept 12th. After that, I get busy with hunting and general fall nice weather outside stuff. I might be able to do MSRH in October, though. I haven't got that far yet.

It's probably a bit early for people to crack the ECM on those, but that was the best investment I made on my FZ1. Then the power commander could really do its thing.

I was talking to a friend of mine that has an R3 race team and stated once they put the power commander on with his maps there bike was really flying.

That's good to know.

I know my FZ1 had a ton of "to protect yourself" restrictions That the PC couldn't program around, like fuel cut off, power restrictions in lower gears, some of the secondary fly stuff, and some of those EPA add ons that mysteriously disappear.

The PC was good, but when a interwebs guy figured out how to crack the stock ecm, the bike turned into a beast. You still have to use the PC with it, but now it's more for fine tuning.

I will have to check with my engine guy to see if we need to do anything else. Hopefully they kept it pretty simple with these. There are not controls for wet, wheely, stuff like that. Just twist and go!!!
