Don't know, I never dropped it. I can say that the bike is SERIOUSLY fast! Modded to the hilt, geared down a bit, never topped it out, but I doubt an average human can find the top speed short of running COTA, or risking jail on public roads!

Whoever bought it, good on ya, I miss it, but I got a 2015 R1 as a consolation prize, so I'll survive somehow!
Greg

Edit--bike was never dropped, before I bought it, and during its tenure with me. Maybe since it sold, who knows?

I guess you missed this post. . It sounds like it was seriously fast and it was in the hands of an amiture or something else of some sort. Waiting for the story.

Well that sucks. I babied that bike the 5 years I had it. Was the rider hurt? Hope not. It was a lot of bike, especially for a young guy.

Haven't talked with him yet so don't know the official details just what his Dad said. From what I gathered he was following behind a truck pulling a boat, the truck slowed to make a right turn so he went around him to the left. As he was about to pass, the truck went wide in his lane and he hit the truck going 25-30mph.

Don't care much about the rest just glad he's okay. I don't know his full riding history just that he had a CBR600 before buying this bike.

I'm glad people are clowning him, good to know those folks have never crashed a bike ever...

Real shame. I managed to ride that bike for many years and it never got a scratch. One or two weeks into its new owner and it's totaled. Sucks. :-(

Yep, happens all the time...guessing the trailer ran it over.

Hated to hear, it had some very nice mods on it....appreciate the feedback anyway.

If it happened anything like my accident a few years back, the towing company did more damage to it than the wreck. Let's not try to stand the bike up and roll it, instead let's drag it with the winch up the flatbed tow truck.

Glad to hear the rider is ok though.

That sucks... even more reason to pay more attention to your surroundings and try to anticipate all reactions of vehicles around you. Hopefully the kid didn't suffer any major injuries.

Had a buddy pass away from falling off his bike in his neighborhood. Wasn't even going over 15 mph, just hit his head in the right spot on the curb (obviously not wearing a helmet). Only wearing sneakers, basketball shorts, and muscle shirt... goes to show anyone can die on a bike at any speed.

That exact thing happened to me 7 years ago in College Station. Fuggin F250 went to right lane ... then made a WIDEASS left turn.

I ended up between the wheels... luckily my ninja500 had long sliders and I came out relatively unscathed (1 surgery..lol).

Came in here expecting to hear about some kid wrecking his new bike

Had me fooled for a second.
