So are you stating that only residents in Houston can participate in the MotoHouston forum?

I must have missed the registration portion that requires proof of Houston residence, or justification or qualifications for participating on this forum.

So are you stating that members can't list their sold bikes?

I must have missed the forum guidelines that prohibit it.

Who the knows?

They maintain an account of their customers and phone numbers are a quick and easy (and unique) method for account setup and tracking. Not unlike a SSN.

Not at all. I'm simply asking why? What is the purpose of listing bikes no longer owned? What is the objective?

So far there have been a few good explanations for it. Maybe I'll do the same, since it appears to be helpful info in some cases.

You quoted the title wrong... the title listed, "Bike owned", so you interjected your own title to support your argument.

I highlighted the "ed", to support it as being past tense... so yea, that's why we list our out like that.

Well, . Looks like I can only list up to five bikes. :(

So how should I decide on which of my previously owned bikes are worth listing?

That's how it is worded in the User CP, including the "current bikes you own" section that makes more clear that the list to be filled in is to ID.......current bikes you own.

And it is not an argument. It is a question. I am not taking exception to people listing previously owned bikes.

Perhaps you should start a new thread with a poll

Ok, let's see.....

Briggs & Stratton Minibike
Honda XR75
Kawasaki KDX200
Kawasaki KX250
another Kawasaki KX250
yet another Kawasaki KX250
Kawasaki Concours
Kawasaki ZX-9R
Kawasaki KLX400
Kawasaki ZRX1200
another Kawasaki ZRX1200
yet another Kawasaki ZRX1200
SV650
Yamaha R6

I think that covers bikes owned. I've put many miles on many other bikes though that I have not actually owned. I learned to street ride at age 16 on my Dad's GL1100. Actually took my motorcycle riding test on that bike. Totally freaked out the testing officer when we walked out to the parking lot and he realized that was the bike I was testing on. lol
