lo-jack only pays if your bike is not found with-in 30 days or something like that or deemed totaled from the theft...and depending on which package you get they will pay more than 500...i will find the pamphlet i picked up the other day and re-read it to double check it

What I was told by the dealer about LoJack is that they pay for the Lojack you bought + Instillation so they are like hey... you bought this to protect you and we didn't... so here's you're money back... thats what I read in the pamphlet last i checked..

staying on topic this is something id' be interested in if the monthly charge was cheaper

The problem with GPS based systems is that they will not work if their view to the satellites are blocked.

From the Lojack site:
"An additional 5- year warranty so that if your motorcycle is stolen and not recovered within 30 days from the time it is reported stolen or is recovered and deemed a total loss, then you could receive up to $5000 towards the purchase of a replacement vehicle at the original purchase dealership."

Also there are no monthly fes with Lojack, just a purchase fee and installation charge.

830+75+13.95/month for the phantom....

500+150 for the lojack......

i'd rather have the lojack with some type of theft coverage (just in case)

theft coverage is not much more than 13.95/month. plus lojack has been around and established. at the price of the phantom....they need to drop the monthly fee.

guys.... the $14 a month isnt that bad considering that this system is basicly a slimmed down version of onstar for bikes...

how many of you ride solo?
the crash detection feature could save your life.....

i still don't think it's worth paying a grand for system/installation....and then having to pay a monthly fee as well.

i think it's something to look into, but not at those prices. i prefer lojack, make a one time fee, and that fee is also lower. if the phantom dropped their price to the same as lojack....that monthly fee might not seem so bad.

if you think of the monthly fee.....let's just say, lojack is around 450 installed, at $15/a month. now which one still looks better?

i'm not trying to knock the product....just trying to make valid points.
