I've got no misconceptions about that. We take risks based on assumptions (like drivers paying attention), and occasionally we make bad assumptions, or just plain bad decisions. I made several, but got to walk away. Not saying the van was blameless for driving like an idjit, but my actions definitely contributed.

I could. I could fix it and ride, fix it and sell it, or just cut my losses on it, knowing it'll cost money I don't have to fix it when I've already got 6 other bikes that need my time and money. We'll see what happens.

I might have a bit of a hoarding problem when it comes to my toys... I've got a huge pile of parts I just can't seem to part with.

I think my biggest issue right now is discouragement. I was so close to getting the garage space I need so that I've got space for flooring materials (being delivered Monday), and as soon as that bike goes out the Sprint will go in.

The month or so it's likely to take me to get this tiling work finished will be a good time to step back and reflect on what I'm going to do with it. , maybe it'll come back this autumn as a track bike.

Got calls from a few members, but the closest to me was my friend's husband who happened to be downtown in his truck at the time.

I'm grateful to everyone who called with an offer to help, it is much appreciated.

Well, I did decide to keep it, and have started ordering parts. Maybe this thread should be re-titled.

(prices include shipping)
Stator cover: $109.98
Radiator: $162.50

that's where I got it. Most were around $150 + $20 shipping, this was $135 + $27.50...

I've been watching them for a few weeks now and that seems to be what they're going for, and certainly not finding them any cheaper on TriumphRAT
