Inspection Sticker

What are the laws in Texas on the placement of the sticker? I want to take the fender off of my new gixer and put the plate up under but do not know were to put the sticker.

it has to be mounted with the plate for sure, and be visible from about 50' or so behind you.. lots of people mount it on the swing arm..

the law is pretty vague....it says mounted in the rear of the vehicle near your license plate.

If a cop cannot see it, he has probable cause to pull you over. That pretty much sums up what you need to know. I have mine mounted on my swingarm and was pulled over 1 time by a DPS officer. He walked up asked about it, I pointed it out, he leaned down, verified it, and let me go on my way.

However, if you are a person that seems to get hassled often, then I would advise against it...

or he coulda wrote you a ticket, had you goto court, prolly get it thrown out in court. but you've now wasted several hours hassling w/ the court.

just gives the cops another reason to pull you over and check your license/insurance and look for other things.

stubbs cycles put my sticker on the swingarm as long as you have a sticker you will be ok and some insurance and a plate you are ok..... my plate is my heel guard never had a problem in houston
