house ac problems

Can anybody charge my house ac. It's a very old system and I can't afford to replace so I have to repair. Just need somebody to come and charge it up again. I think it's r-22. Any help is appreciated and can compensate for your time and r-22.

Ferris when you get some to come out and check your system. Make sure your condensor (outside) coil and indoor air filters are clean first. Just put a new air filter on and water hose of the outdoor unit (with the power turned off). Hopefully the indoor coil is clean as well (more work to get clean). We have plenty of think they are techs in the a/c business that will just come out and add gas. Without clean coils and proper airflow the charge will still be off.

Also there are some stop leak additives out there that could help. I'm still not a fan of them but some use them.
