Central Air help?

I've got an A/C unit that's approx 9 years old...

3 months ago I had a company come out to inspect/clean the system.
... they replaced the contacts for the compressor/fan run caps, cleaned the
blower,, and the condensor coil, and put in a pound of Dt R22?.

Today...earlier house was not cooling, checked and the compressor was running...ran errands, came back house was hotter and the compressor is not running.

There have been no previous problems, the lines nor the unit are frozen up (Ie: no ice, frost etc). Only thing I can guess is that something within the compressor has gone out.

I don't know wether to get these same people to come out, or get some else and get their opinion.

only three monts ago? did their service come with a warranty?

I think they would come out and if they cannot show you that it is not a result of their work they would have to do it free. Have you called them to get their policy?
