Wheel bearing failures are super common on Buells...we had several riders in our riding groups that almost never made the full routes cause of these. Most of them seemed to be on the front wheels though.

Where do you live? I live right by Mancuso (Central?) Main @ 610. If they have the parts, and you're able to pay over the phone i can pick them up for you and bring them to you if you live close enough.

I'm in deer park. They have the bearings but not the spacer. My neighbor said I could use his truck. I'm gonna try and reuse the spacer. Have no choice. Nobody has it. Preciate it tho bro

What this guy said...

Sounds like a classic case of an over-torqued axle. Been there, done that. I have a brand new bearing if it will fit your bike.it's all yours. If you have calipers that you can measure your existing bearing or give the number on your current bearing I can see if it'll match up. Let me know, it's yours free of charge.

I got my parts ordered from a local HD shop. Was cheaper that way. They will b here nxt Thursday. Ordered both sides front and rear and new spacers for front and rear. I'm sure they needed changing but I feel it's still premature. I just had a new rear tire put on last week. The axle was on waaaaayyyy to tight. That's probly what messed it up. I got the good bearing out no problem. It's getting the race out of the other side that's gonna b the prob. Did a slight am out of damage to the wheel when that bearing went. Hoping I don't have to replace the wheel to. My neighbor said I could borrow his truck or bike. (I keep them both maintained for him) lesson learned. I will never let somebody touch my bike again. I figured it's a tire no problem. Nxt time I will take the wheels off myself and take them up there. For the record it was "ON THE BORDER CYCLES" this is the 3rd set of tires I've had them do. They have competitive prices but they install them for free if u buy the tires from them. I have 2 ex wife's a wife and 5 kids. That Xtra 50$ or so to install tires means a lot to me. Those that know me know I don't ever have $ and if I do its a special occasion. Only reason I let them do them plus they have a good rep. Won't do it again for sure. Almost killed me. Once again lesson learned the hard way. Thanks all for Ur help and support. We brothers gotta stick together

Im glad that you did not go down but.. Honestly..pay more attention to the bike. That bearing screams lack of maintenance..remember your bike can save or take your life

He said he just had a tire replaced and indicated they may have over torqued the axle nut. Not really a maintenance issue.
