Suzuki Issues Recall on M109R

suzym109rrearbeautyw 0?itokF8tQxq4B
Suzuki has just issued a recall on parts #990A0-75148 and 990A0-75148-BLK, manufactured March 1, 2012, to April 21, 2015. This part number is for the hardware used for installing accessory backrests on 2006-2015 Suzuki VZR1800 (Boulevard M109R) motorcycles. The mounting hardware kits may include four 110mm bolts instead of two 75mm bolts and two 95mm bolts. If the accessory backrest was mounted using the bolts that were too long, they could rub on the rear tire, causing loss of control and a higher chance of an accident.

The recall started this month and Suzuki owners may contact Suzuki customer service at 1-800-444-5077 to find out if their bike is affected.
