It's mostly senior citizens who stand around discussing their latest prune juice cocktail and how much they miss riding since their hip replacement. They just can't stand the antics and hijinks of these young whippersnappers who keep walking across their lawn and revving their ninja bikes...

...or something like that anyway.

*gasp* There's a bike AND a Harley that snuck into this picture! Blasphemy! Stereotypes! Etc!

I have been to a few of these and it is a really chill crowd, you have to go to a few of them to see what Jae is talking about. Scotch/whiskey and a cigar type crowd, and if that doesn't suit your fancy then probably should stay away!

The younger guy in the picture is Mark Shin, the rider for LaNoue Racing. Those are the bikes they took to Pike's Peak earlier this summer. They were nice enough to bring them out to bike night to show off.

Then your definition of fun and their definition of fun are two different things, so this crowd is not for you. Some people like to talk about tire pressure and oil viscosity while sipping scotch and smoking cigars.

Exactly. We've also been know to discuss the finer points of differentiating Vespas from their Asian clones. (We have a relatively large Mod contingency.)

Ya, they bring a special brightness to the meet.

Race day was an interesting day. It started at 55* at 3am, to 85* at start time (8am), to rain and hail dropping us to 65* for us while 6-8" of snow was dropping on top of the mountain and freezing.......then it cleared and back to 80*. They had to use the snow plows to get our guys off the top of the mountain.
