Texans safety Danieal Manning announces retirement on radio show

Texans safety Danieal Manning announced his retirement Tuesday on SportsRadio 610.

Manning played his first five seasons with the Chicago Bears. He spent his last four seasons in Houston after signing a four-year, $20 million contract in 2011.

Manning finishes his career with 437 tackles, four sacks, nine forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, 11 interceptions and one interception returned for a touchdown. He also returned kickoffs on special teams and finished his career with 3,370 return yards with one touchdown.

He was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He played college football at Abilene Christian University.
