Gixxerkelly and I put in 3 hours of training Saturday and his braking skills improved but we're going to keep working on it until I'm satisfied.

About a year ago I was riding with some ODODB's and a racing buddy, I was hauling some major down the trail, I had left everyone behind to get in a fast sprint, I rounded a corner and drifted too far out and my front tire hit something, it through me off and onto the ground which I was fine from the landing, I looked around quickly but didn't see the bike and then BAM, the swing arm and rear tire came crashing down on my head and shoulder.

Luckily one of the ODODB guys was a Dr. of some sort, that crash hurt me by way of dislocating my shoulder and bruising some ribs, we were a few hundred yards from the trucks, when we all arrived, he assessed me and popped me back into place for immediate relief. It was a scary crash, I don't know how high in the air my bike was but I never seen it until it hit me, It dazed me real good, I didn't know where I was and I was asking the others why they were going the wrong way on the trail, when it was me and my bike facing the opposite direction of travel after the crash.
Ouch! Rutted corners and braking were my biggest improvements when we did that day with Steve Hatch. Need to keep training those skills. The last couple times I've been out, I have just been play riding and not working on any skill in particular. You guys plan on going to Rio on Wednesday again?

Kurt, I still fall down almost every time out. My last two forest trips were the only time I've ever not had a crash in the last few years. Used to wreck my motard every time we went out too. Quite a few concrete spills as well. Still fall over a lot but my "crashes" have definitely decreased a lot in the last year.

I'm out this week, we leave for the Kenda TKO Wednesday and won't be back until next Tuesday.

Curt, you don't need a skid plate for those trees, they're so soft you're not going to hurt anything, I was hitting a huge concrete block yesterday and hurt my linkage, I'm getting a linkage guard, I don't need the skid plate.

Let's get together and I can teach you some things (that goes for any of you that wish to learn more skill).
