I suppose it was in my blood. My Dad rode for years, including taking me on his BMW. My brother got a bike when i 17, and I got one when I was 18.

i bought my first motorcycle in 2000...it was a 96 CBR600 F3. bought it for the "cool factor", posing, and trying to pick up chicks to "ride" if you know what i mean. never really knew the motorcycle community could be such a tightly knitted family until 5 bikes later, last year, i bought my 2006 cbr1000rr and started riding with people on and off this board.

the camaraderie we have, and the passion for anything with 2 wheels, is a fine experience to keep me on two wheels til the day i pass on.

my dad rode in college when living in the philippines.....and we decided that he and i needed to take the msf class back in 2004. so we did, and we bought the ninja 500....which now belongs to MH's owner chris....(i'm gonna buy that thing back eventually, if ms.pink ranger ever lets me).

basically, he bought it so that me and him could take turns riding it on our commute....his to downtown, and mine to UH main.................

and then i got addicted... 3 moto's and 1 dirtbike later.....i'm here

My Dad

My Pop is a die hard Harley Man I often rode on the back of his full dress harley. I knew that when I grew up I wanted to get one. Then I looked up and I had $10,000 I had in the bank.... :icon_bigg yeah you would have done it to....

Originally because I like fast, I like horses and bikes are like fast coldhearted horses. :laughing6

So wanted one for a long time but Mom never let me have it. Saw a chick on a blue R6 riding up here a few years ago and really LOVED the bike. Fell in love with it, couldn't get my eyes of it as it disappeared into traffic. I was really jealous and thought, if she can ride, so can I.

Tried much harder at mom (April fools jokes every year didn't go over too well :laughing6 ) Finally reached the point where I just signed up for a MSF class one day, told her I am getting a bike and the rest is history.

Oh, and I still want an R6 one day.

lmao

I've wanted one since I was little, I don't even know what sparked it. My dad had one in high school he bought when he was 14 or so but only had it a couple of years.

Begged the parents ALL through high school but they would never buy me one. Sat this year out of college baseball and finally got a job to buy myself one.

turned 10 and decided that i was tired of pedaling. grabed an old chainsaw motor and made it work on my huffy. Within the year my bestfriends dad bought me a bike. my parents wouldn't. Did the dirtbikes, went on to be able to afford a street bike and now im working on my 3rd. (1988 suz. intruder, 1999 R1, 2003 R1) here i am now.

Well, i had 3 dirtbikes from the time i was 10-16, numerous 4 wheelers and a 3 wheeler and i had always been into the bikes at an early age. I got my first streetbike when i was 18 which was my 05 gsxr 600. I bought it because i had always wanted one mostly because i thought it was so cool when i would see other people on the road with them and had to have one! lol (Poser) haha And my friends had them so it was also just to be able to ride with the crew.

Well i then realized how much fun they actually were and moved up to my 06 636. I then wanted even more so i bought the 07 zx0r i have now. I just love bikes and i love the freedom of riding the bike instead of being caged all the time. I love having more power than almost anything else on the road and its probably the only hobby that lets you legally ride your toy on the road. I LOVE IT! :icon_bigg

Holy chit Tony.... that's crazy, my first bike was a 96 CBR600 F3 also, but I bought mine in 1999. I still have that bike...well not really cause I gave it to my brother, but I still ride it from time to time. I also got it for the same reason you stated above :laughing6 :laughing6 .

I started riding when I was 7. My dad bought me, my older sister (may she RIP) and my little brother a moped (honda spree) to ride around on his lake house. We rode that poor thing like it was a dirtbike . I for one ran that thing in the ground so many times, not to mention, being chased by cows a time or two . It all started there and since then, I been hooked on bikes and can't get enough of them.
