J.J. Watt responds after Mettenberger calls him out for 'high schoolish' letterman's

In recent interview with CampusSports.Net, Tennessee Titans quarterback Zach Mettenberger addressed the social media spat between himself and J.J. Watt that started last season.

"I sent a seflie out and it got leaked to the public. Then ESPN asked me to send me a selfie pre-game and it just got blown up. Then J.J. had to say that it was a bit high schoolish to take a selfies. And I think he still rags me on Instagram every time he posts a selfie."

Mettenberger went on to say that the Texans letterman's jacket from the 2012 season was "pretty high schoolish."

Watt responded by tweeting:

"A lion doesn't concern himself with the opinions of a sheep. Time to attack the day."

Watt criticized Mettenberger last season after the rookie quarterback took a pre-game selfie and shared it on social media. During the game against the Titans, Watt sacked Mettenberger and celebrated by mimicking him with a selfie pose.

In the post game press conference after the Texas beat the Titans, Watt was asked about the selfie celebration.

"It's just kind of a reminder that this is the National Football League, not high school," Watt said.

"If I was a rookie quarterback being named the starter for the first time in the league, I feel like I'd be a little more focused than that."

There's no guarantee that Watt will go against Mettenberger in the 2015 season, since the Titans selected Oregon's Marcus Mariota second overall in the draft.
