2016 KTM500exc?

I have been looking for a new supermoto bike that is street legal from the factory for some time now. So there's the DRZ400 and WR250 witch are tried and true but i just stumbled on the EXC line from ktm. I got to try the 350 with dirt tires and loved it but definitely needed a tad more power. going back next month to test the new 500exc.

Just wanted to see if any of yall have any criticism or praises for the older models of this bike. Ultimately I will have two wheel sets as i still want to hit up Ultimate MX and some trials, but mostly will be riding the street tire set up.

Are there any mods that are essential to make the KTM a better supermoto bike?

The 500 is a fukin power house!! If I didnt own a 690SMC that would be the platform for my sumo. Ive ridden one unrestricted in dirt light and soo much grunt!

Same boat. Was looking for a DRZ400 but came across a 2002 520 exc, it's in my garage being worked on with new computer and some cleanup now. It has WAAAAY more power than the drz at half the cost...

Titanium bar nut, must be a bit loose.....missing a screw, and an elevator that does not go all the way up.

Best fix for a KTM evar!
