So hot tires would roughly be at 36 front and 34 rear. I am also not running the same tire you are running (bridgestone bt-016 hypersport dual compound, not the oe tires). But those numbers seem high to me.
Well, cold tire pressure for the CB500F, the CBR600RR and the CBR1000RR is 36 front and 42 rear. It's in the owner's manual and on the swingarm placard. Pressure is supposed to rise as the tire warms. You start off with too little pressure, the tire overheats and the pressure increases dramatically from what it was when set cold. Besides that, running lower than recommended cold pressure cause the front to cup and both tires to wear faster.

WHAT PRESSURES SHOULD I PUT IN MY TIRES FOR NORMAL ROAD USE?

For use on the road, it’s essential to use the tire pressures recommended by the manufacturer of your motorbike.
You’ll find it in the bike’s handbook or on the machine itself.

The inflation pressure stated in these documents is the pressure when the tires are cold.

WHAT IS THE EFFECT OF TEMPERATURE ON THE PRESSURE OF MY TIRES?

With an equivalent quantity of air, pressure increases with temperature. This means that the pressure in the tire will be greater when the tire is hot.

It’s for this particular reason that you are always advised to check the pressure on “cold” tires. In this way the value will not be influenced by the variation in pressure due to temperature.

Underinflation

Never use your motorcycle when tires are underinflated. This will cause improper handling that may result in an accident. The only way to determine if a tire is properly inflated is to check air pressures with an accurate tire pressure gauge when tires are cold (at ambient air temperature).

Good info to know. That means I am probably not running enough tire pressure for the street. Mine are in line with track pressures. I will have to adjust. Thanks for info.

I check my cold tire pressure during the hottest part of the day, the day before I ride. 36 front (S20) and 40-42 rear (T30). Doesn't take tires long to reach operating temperature in the summer in Texas so grip is not a problem. Just ask the riders that were following me today

It was dam good to finally meet and ride with you beevs , I'm certainly out of my usual pace since its been so long since I rode those roads and also it was the first time getting my ninja out there . I had fun no doubt and we all made it without incident or anyone going down. It went great and I'll HAVE to join more of your rides in the future

Maybe I can drag toe out to one with me

They were moving alright and I was a bit behind them. Every time they came to a stop bevo was getting his kickstand down as I was coming to a stop . Next time I'll pick it up a bit. Only thing that ever keeps me from going all the way over there is the ride home

It's always a good time with the beev. Believe me, I'd much rather have been riding than watching the heathens all day.

Ran my s20s at 36/36 today (like every non-commute ride).
38-40 for commuting. I get like 7k miles out of a rear tire. I love them!
