I just recently bought the RAM mounts X-Grip handlebar mount. Works great. And the battery tender to USB is always cool--I've got the little pigtail wired to a phone USB cable and a radar detector that I can put either/or on the mount. I need to figure out where I want to mount the second one so I can have both up at the same time. Sadly, my Streety has some stupid- clamp looking that spans the entire middle of the handlebar, so it can't be there.

You can get the charger part cheaper on Amazon. Paid 5 bucks for a cable to the battery and 5 bucks for this usb connector. 15 bucks total.

Lose the rabbit ears and go bar ends. That'll make room for a couple of clean-install RAM . My X-grip lives permanently on the left one.

Currently working on that. Waiting on a Bluetooth dongle for the Sena headset that will allow me to listen to music and/or intercom and have the radar overlayed concurrently. As of right now it's very bright and very loud and I can hear it through my helmet most of the time. It looks like their SM10 and SR10 both would do the trick. I think you have to have their 20S headset to get multitasking though, so I already bought that piece of the puzzle.

I'm gonna have to ask you a weird question. I haven't switched to bar-end mirrors because I feel like it might negatively impact visibility. Can you still see your surroundings clearly with them?

Mine has a screamer, LED on the windscreen and a Bluetooth LED inside the helmet by the visor.
I can hear the screamer up to 90 or so, even with ear plugs and music playing.

The screen LED wasn't mounted in that pic... detector has a hard wire harness, and I added a weatherproof cig plug on the left side for the GPS.

Search "HARD" radar setup for the helmet

Not all bar ends are equal. I like these ebay knockoffs of the Triumph version. They are slightly convex so coverage is great. Image is rock steady at just about any speed. Easy to readjust if knocked out of alignment, and can be folded inward for tight quarters.

I find it natural to glance down at them and prefer the open front view without the rabbit ears. I'm not a big guy so little problem with my elbows blocking view.

My $0.02

Great, thanks for the info! I'll invest in some.
